Alcobendas is a municipality belonging to the Community of Madrid. It is located 15 km north of the capital and at an altitude of 669 meters. It limits with the municipalities of San Sebastián de los Reyes, to the north; Madrid, to the west and south; and Paracuellos de Jarama, to the east. In 2017 it had a population of 114,864 inhabitants.
